[inclines his head toward the pad still on the chair; it's still paaused on teh swing dance vid]

Yeah, but it's gotta be actually playing.

[leaning over and tapping it to unpause, letting the music play and spinning Mikleo with a laugh]

[turns into the spin with a laugh, capes flaring out behind him; he's a little uncertain since they're not quite sure how to turn their usual footwork into actual dance moves, but not tripping over himself or anything]

[sorey has exactly zero idea what he's doing, so he just tries to mimic a slower, less flippy version of what the dancers themselves are doing. it's not...fancy, but he just having fun trying it out.]

[they're probably out of time to the music too, that's a fast beat...Mikleo follows Sorey's lead easily, though, turn and turn again, both of them probably one-two stepping a bit rather than trying actual complicated swing dance footwork. hey, as long as Sorey doesn't actually try to go for rolling flips, this isn't bad]

[No rolling flips until at least the third date. Though in place of the flips he just slowly spins Mikleo out and then pulls him back in, which is the extent of the fancy dance moves they can pull off with zero practice. By the time the song actually finishes he's laughing again at how out of time they are with the music.]

Not too shabby for a first try! But practice was a good idea.

Yeah, that was surprisingly...not bad. But not the best, either. We can work on it.

[mikleo is going to get them into competitive dancing, it will be the next gay sports anime

but sorey matches that look with a grin; competition is something they're familiar with, and he can keep up with that]

And I didn't even step on your feet!

[lifts their joined hands up, an invitation to resume the dance]

Yeah, that's what surprised me. Think you can keep up that trend?

[huffing, but good-natured as he pulls Mikleo back into the dance]

If I step on your feet at this point, it'll be intentional.

Oh, so now I have to be spun and dodge? You sure like giving a guy a workout.

[amused more than anything, spinning them around so he's in the lead this time]

[he tugs at mikleo's hands when he's spun around, surprised and trying to find his footing. he doesn't step on mikleo's feet though]

I've got to keep you on your toes somehow, or you'll get bored.

[snorts a little, slowing the pace to give Sorey the space he needs to steady up]

Of all the things you need to worry about, being boring isn't one.

[it only takes him a few quick steps before he falls back into place, no wobbling or stumbling]

Fine, fine, maybe not bored. I'll take that as a compliment.

Probably something hygiene-related. Not right now, though.

[step left, step right, and spin; they're moving a little more smoothly now]

[he can't say much more than that, though, because it still takes some concentration to focus on the dance and get used to the rhythm]
